Paros has a central network of paths of approximately 35 km. Along all the routes one meets residences, small sustainable farmhouses made of stone, lime, soil, reeds, seaweed, in a proof that the simple is also beautiful.
The windmills, the watermills, the maganopegada, the wells, the cisterns, the threshing floors, the pigeon houses are endless, "virtue with the four corners" according to Elytis. Some organized and well-marked, others on old and exciting trails and some ideal for adventure lovers, Paros' hiking trails will be a real revelation, even for the most skeptical. It is enough to leave any preconceived notions aside and dedicate yourself to the exploration, starting with exercises on paper and ending with the realization of your plans.
Virtue and habitat to envy him. Paros is a charismatic place. Paros - Paradise

Environmental Park
The environmental park of Paros was created in recent years, as this particular area maintains the elements required to emerge as a special place, mainly for lovers of hiking and observation. The peninsula is located at the north-western tip of Paros and among the attractions worth walking are the old admiralty from the time of the Orlofians, the monastery of Ai Giannis tou Detis, built right above the sea, at the entrance of the Park, and a new amphitheater, in which, in the summer, very good events take place.

Lefkes-Lagada-Aspro Horio-Dryos
It is the most demanding and the least known hiking route of the four that we recommend. If you have a car that can handle some dirt road of moderate difficulty, you can take it a few kilometers outside of Lefkes, in the direction of Lagada, from the short route. You can leave the vehicle at the point where you will see the blue sign pointing to Lagada, going uphill to Agios Pantes.
Distance 10 km, 3 hours
Lefkes - Pigados - Ancient Quarries - I.M. Loggovardas - I.M. Taxiarchi.
Starting from Lefkes, the first part of the route is uphill to Pigados with the well of the same name. On this route the visitor meets traditional houses. The route then goes downhill on a dirt road and moves towards the Vounia area, where there are grape and grain crops. The path passes near the Monastery of Agios Minas and the Ancient Quarries, continues on the Marathi plateau, climbs in a thicket with local vegetation (snakes) and reaches the ancient Monastery of Logovarda. Great figures of Orthodoxy practiced in this monastery. From there the path leads to the Holy Monastery of Taxiarchis.

Lefkes - Ag. Sunday - Agrilies - Avkulaki - Ag.Georgios Lagadas
You move southwest from the windmills in Lefkes and after 2.5 kilometers, you reach the monastery of Agia Kyriaki. You have already taken the path to Avkulaki. You move uphill, on the path that also leads to Lagada. After 3 km, at the fork, go left. The path becomes more difficult, climbs for 300 meters and then descends towards Agios Georgios.
You rest at the monastery, after 1.5 km and enjoy the coolness at the spring in Avklaki.
Distance 6.3 km, 1 hour and 20 minutes
Gulf of Parikia
A very nice route, parallel to the sea, is the one that moves around the bay of Parikia. You start from the harbor and head north. You pass through the small beach with tamarisk trees and continue, wetting your feet in the waves, towards the long beach of Parikia, Livadia. Here, you can leave the sandy beach and follow the dirt road, above the beach, to the first houses you will meet in front of you. You are at the end of paraka Livadia and, following the narrowest sandy beach, you enter a path that runs parallel to the sea, on a rocky point, with a few houses on your right. Somehow, and after about 500 meters after the beach, you will reach the first headland. The path leaves the sea before reaching the edge of the cliff and heads west towards Krios beach and Marcello.
Byzantine path
It is the oldest and classic, for hiking lovers, path of the island and connects Lefkes with Prodromos. To discover it, you will look for Louki's old cafe, in Lefkes. There is its starting point. It is a 3.5 kilometer path, paved with slabs and Parian marble, whose history is lost in Byzantine times (1000 AD).
Marmara - Molos - Fanari - Kalogeras
Easy hiking route, in the plain from Marmaras, to the beach of Molos and from there, over the sandy beach, to the beach of Kalogeros.
You will move through small and longer paths and dirt roads, to the left of the carriage. Leave the village on the left cobblestone and turn right at the intersection. The route is beautiful, through crops and trees. At the end of the path, after 600 meters, turn left and, after 200 meters, sharp right again. Thus, you enter the straight line for the beach of Molos.
Distance 3.5 km, 45 minutes
Kolymbithres - Archaeological Site of the Mycenaean Palace of Koukounaria
It is located very close to Kolymbithres beach. Remains of the Mycenaean palace remain. Finds from the site, at the Archaeological Museum of Paros.
Distance 300 meters, 5 minutes
Ambelas - Santa Maria
Beautiful walk, next to the sea, sometimes close to sandy beaches, but mainly over rocky places of wild beauty. For the first 1.5 km, leaving Ampelas and moving towards the north, you will walk next to the coachman. After 800 meters, you come across Aspros Gremos beach. The road becomes dirt as you continue, always with the option of being above the sea. Somehow, you reach the cape, opposite the islet of Filidi. The next beach is heavenly and not particularly well known.
Distance 5 km, 1 hour
Ambelas - Molos - Marmara (beaches)
Ride over gorgeous sandy beaches and wild rocky shores. Starting from Ampelas, you move towards the south and after 800 meters, you leave the sea and enter inland, by a dirt road.
At 1800 meters, the dirt road ends and you turn left to find yourself above the sea again. On the narrow dirt road, you will be above the sea for 750 meters and you do not turn right (as the road goes), but cut to continue above the sea, for another 1100 meters. You are on the beautiful and unspoiled beach of Tsoukalia and, most likely, the breeze is cooling you. In front of you dominates the hill of Antikefalos and to the right, in the background, the imposing hill of Kefalos, with its characteristic pointed shape.
Distance 7 km, 1 hour and 30 minutes
Kostos - Agia Pakou - Naoussa
Another well-marked route, via a long path, satisfying and accessible for everyone, as it moves downhill, all the way to Naoussa.
You start from the village of Kostos and move along the carriage road, for 7 minutes, until you meet the chapel of Agia Ypakoi or "Pakous", as the locals call it. From here, the path begins, which you will find by walking another 100 meters in the direction of Naoussa, in a detour on the right.
Distance 6 km, 1 hour and 15 minutes
Prodromos - Monastery of Panagia Kontianis
Just a five-minute walk from the village of Prodromos, heading west, is the monastery of Panagia Kontiani. It is a ruined building (only the catholicon is in good condition). Dedicated to the Entry of the Virgin Mary, it was built in the 16th century and was part of the monastery of Agia Kyriaki Lefko. It was called Kontiani because it is located near the village.
Distance 300 meters, 5 minutes
Logara - Punta - Mesada - Cerdakia - Golden Coast - Dryos (beaches)
Easy route, with changes, an alternative to the asphalt that moves through paths and dirt roads, right above the sea.
A hiking pleasure, with continuous dives, that starts from the beach of Logaras and puts you in the logic of choosing for yourself how you will move, always close to the sea, through small paths, to arrive, successively, after five minutes in Pounda ( via a path that connects the two beaches, over the rock) and after 20 minutes to Tserdakia. From here, the dirt road, always above the sea, goes up and down to the Golden Coast. Walking, for ten minutes, on the edges of the beach, you enter a smaller path, which takes you, after about 20 minutes, to Dryos.
Distance 7 km, 1 hour and 30 minutes
Marpissa – Avkulaki
An uphill route, through a good dirt road. It starts from Marpissa and moves in a southwest direction. To find the starting point, search for the field. From here you move, for about 1 kilometer, on the carriage road. You leave it, higher up, to enter the dirt road to the right that leads to Agios Georgios, in Avkulaki.
For the time being you are moving gently uphill, through fields and a few farmhouses. After a few hundred meters, after meeting the small settlement of Tourlos, you enter the mountainous part. The uphill is noticeable, as you move through a landscape with rocks and some low vegetation.
Your arrival in Agios Georgios will repay you, since you will be able to rest in the courtyard of the beautiful monastery and in the spring and river, located below it, in the location of Avkulaki,
Distance 5 km, 1 hour
Aliki - Agairia - Mon. Agioi Theodoron - Aspro Chorio
One of the most exciting hiking routes in Paros, of moderate difficulty. It starts from Aliki. Through the narrows of the village, you move with the settlement of Aliki on your left, towards Agkairia and enjoy the architecture of the houses of a traditional Aegean setting. Leaving Aliki, the path continues with a slight uphill and reaches the few houses of Agkairia, after ten minutes.
Distance 8.5 km, 1 hour and 45 minutes
